CORNISH FLAG OF ST PIRAN BELT BUCKLE

Beaten pewter with black and white enamelling.The buckle has a hinged bar that the belt clips onto, the other end has a strong prong to push through the hole in the belt. Width 83mm Length 60mm for belt width 40mm.Supplied in a vevet pouch.

St Piran is the Patron Saint of Tin Miners and is the National Saint of Cornwall. Black represents ore and white the tin rising to the top in the form of a cross.It is also said to represent the light of truth shining through the darkness.
