RICHARD JOSE - COUNTERTENOR

Richard James Jose was born in Lanner in 1862 and died in San Francisco in 1941. He recorded over fifty songs in the first decade of the 20th century for the American Victor Record Company and became "Top of the Pops" in the U.S.A.Caruso has been credited with saying that Ricahrd Jose was the world's greatest ballad singer.Please remember that all the tracks have been culled from original 78rpm's more than 100 years old so don't expect a hi-fi sound!
